Job Details
Reviews, analyzes, and assesses user requirements and business systems. Develops systems that are consistent with the overarching business strategies. Familiar with the industry-standard business process diagramming and reengineering. Develops financial analyses, including cost-benefit, ROI, and buy/build, as well as solution options. Composes a comprehensive account of the steps necessary to develop or modify computer programs, as well as user needs and program functions.
Overview
- Under the supervision of the Section Director, executes sophisticated business evaluation and planning at the senior level. Engages in the development and implementation of agency policies and procedures, as well as business analysis and process planning. Facilitates the coordination of initiatives and team activities in order to accomplish the objectives and goals of the Section. Prepares reports of findings and recommendations in the various points of service, and studies and analyzes operations and issues.
- Assists in the preparation of administrative reports, studies, and specialized technical initiatives. Offers technical assistance and consultative services to facilitate the development, execution, and oversight of efficient programs and services. Collaborates with program personnel to identify trends and resolve technical issues.
- In order to identify resource deficits and suggest enhancements, this section reviews and evaluates information regarding service delivery system methods, outputs, and activities. Establishes workflows and procedures. Operates with minimal supervision, allowing for the exercise of independent judgment and initiative.
- Performs additional responsibilities as assigned and adheres to a consistent and predictable work schedule.
- Defines issues in areas such as administrative practices, workflow, and other business processes, and conducts comprehensive studies and evaluations. As a consultant, the individual is responsible for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of effective business process improvement recommendations.
- Creates management and workflow reporting tools for program areas. Analyze and compile statistical data to aid management in making well-informed decisions.
- Assist in the monitoring and approval of reporting, system, and business process requirements. Collaborates with IT and program personnel to facilitate the discovery, development, and implementation of program systems.
- Provide program personnel with training, technical assistance, and information-sharing, as well as develop workflow procedures.
