As a Java Engineer with Okta integration experience, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications with a focus on integrating Okta for authentication and authorization purposes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and implementation of security protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Java applications with a focus on integrating Okta for user authentication and authorization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement security protocols.
- Implement Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) using Okta.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and web services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Okta integration and Java applications.
- Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to Java development and identity management.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Java development.
- Strong experience with Okta integration.
- Proficient in developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with security protocols and standards (e.g., OAuth, OpenID Connect).
- Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Spring or Spring Boot.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines).
- Familiarity with other identity management systems and protocols.
