Responsibilities include
- Planning, coordinating, assigning, and ensuring thorough and timely Quality Assurance support of all site manufacturing, assembly, and test operations.
- Providing program-specific data visibility and analysis indicating quality performance, high-drivers for defects and rework, first-pass yield, and other quality-related metrics.
- Driving process improvements yielding efficient first-time quality with applicable product-owning teams.
- Standardizing Quality Assurance methods across cost centers and shifts.
- Project performance planning, risk management, technical quality, cost, schedule and factory accountability oversight for Program Production-related Mission Assurance statements of work.
- Developing, modifying, applying, and maintaining quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished material products.
- Collaborating with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
- Devising and implementing methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
- Designing and analyzing inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment; conducting quality assurance tests; and performing statistical analysis to assess the cost of, and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
- Auditing quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
- Ensuring that corrective actions are effective in reducing defects and noncompliances.
- Acting with agility to business needs and interacting in a collaborative way to empower diverse, cross-functional teams, including both internal and external members, to achieve positive business results, including operating decisions, scheduling requirements, and contractual clarification.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 9 years of experience in the Aircraft, Aerospace or Manufacturing Industries in a Quality Environment or 7 years of experience in the Aircraft, Aerospace or Manufacturing Industries in a Quality Environment and a Masters degree.
- 5 or more years of Leadership/ Supervisory or Lead experience.
- Must have ability to work flexible schedule 1st or 2nd shift to include weekend shifts.
- Ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Strong orientation to change in a dynamic environment.
- Sophisticated level of understanding of complex quality policies, procedures, governmental regulations and workflow.
- Ability to analyze alternative courses of action where decisions have risk/reward implications for program or area of influence
